The 176 000 hectare Greater Addo Elephant National Park is the third largest National Park in Southern Africa. The variety of wildlife found in the Park is astounding, with 417 species of birds, 95 kinds of mammals, including the Big 5 and of course the 600 elephants that roam there, it is an absolute treat for nature lovers.

FULL DAY SAFARI WITH TRADITIONAL SOUTH AFRICAN BRAAI (BBQ) LUNCH - 9 HOURS IN THE PARK

Guests are collected from their Port Elizabeth or Colchester Guest House / Hotel and dropped off again after the Game Drive. Collection is between 07h30—08h30 (Depending on travel time to the Addo Park). Pickup is limited to Summerstrand, Humewood, Walmer, Forest Hill, Central, Richmond Hill, Mill Park, Newton Park, Bluewater Bay and Colchester. Alternatively, we meet at a central point in Port Elizabeth or at the Southern Entrance to the Addo Elephant National Park - Camp Matyholweni at 08h30 (GPS Latitude: -33,6719 Longitude: 258122 ).

Our experienced and enthusiastic Guide will do his best to locate as much of the game available in the area. As the drive covers all time periods of the day, there should be the opportunity to see most game species. We stop for a tea/coffee/toilet break at around 10h30. We then continue with the drive until lunch time, when we serve a traditional South African “braai” consisting of 3 meats, (delicious vegetarian options available on request), salads, rooster brood (bread cooked on the open fire). Beverages include; white wine, beer, tea, coffee, fruit juices and mineral water. After lunch we continue with the game drive until we leave the park at 17h30 and return to your hotel / guest house or meeting point.

MORNING SAFARI WITH PICNIC BREAKFAST - 5 HOURS IN THE PARK

Guests are collected from their Port Elizabeth or Colchester Guest House / Hotel and dropped off again after the game drive. Collection is between 06h00—06h45 (depending on travel time to the Addo Park). Pickup is limited to Summerstrand, Humewood, Walmer, Forest Hill, Central, Richmond Hill, Mill Park, Newton Park, Bluewater Bay and Colchester. Alternatively, we meet at a central point in Port Elizabeth or at the Southern Entrance to the Addo Elephant National Park - Camp Matyholweni at 07h00 (GPS Latitude: -33,6719 Longitude: 258122 ).

The first few hours of the drive are usually good to see antelope, zebra and lion. Between 09h00 and 09h30 we serve a delicious continental breakfast in the picnic area consisting of Yoghurt, Fruit Salad, Muesli, Cold Meats, Cheeses, Boiled Eggs, and freshly baked bread rolls. Beverages include: tea, coffee, fruit Juices and mineral water. Usually we have good sightings of elephant and buffalo after 10h00 nearer the waterholes. We exit the Park around 12h00 and return to your hotel or guest house.

AFTERNOON SAFARI WITH PICNIC - 4 HOURS IN THE PARK

Guests are collected from their Port Elizabeth or Colchester Guest House / Hotel and dropped off again after the game drive. Collection will be between 13h00—13h45 (Depending on travel time to the Addo Park). Pickup is limited to Summerstrand, Humewood, Walmer, Forest Hill, Central, Richmond Hill, Mill Park, Newton Park, Bluewater Bay and Colchester. Alternatively, we meet at a central point in Port Elizabeth or at the Southern Entrance to the Addo Elephant National Park - Camp Matyholweni (GPS Latitude: -33,6719 Longitude: 258122 ).

The early afternoon is usually good for spotting elephant and buffalo near the water holes, as well as some antelope and zebra. We stop mid-afternoon for a picnic consisting of a cheese board and crackers, white wine, beer, tea, coffee, fruit Juices and mineral water. The later part of the afternoon is usually good for seeing antelopes and the illusive rhinos. The park has thick bush and offers an abundance of birds, tortoise, dung beetles and other creatures. We leave the park at 18h00 and return to your hotel / guest house or meeting point.

SHORE EXCURSION FULL DAY SAFARI -CRUISE SHIP CLIENTS

Collection will be from 07h30 at the Port Elizabeth Cruise Terminal.

We only have Cruise Ship Clients on this tour so you are assured to be back in time for your Cruise departure. We will serve the guests a picnic in the Addo Park consisting of a traditional South African “Braai” - 3 meats, salads, Rooster Brood (bread cooked on the open fire) and White Wine, Beer, Tea / Coffee, Fruit Juice and Mineral Water.

Our experienced and enthusiastic Guide will do his best to locate as much of the game available in the area during your drive. As the game drive covers all time periods of the day you should have the opportunity to see most game species. We will start in the Southern Part of the Park. We will stop at lunch time when we serve a delicious South African “braai”(BBQ). After lunch we continue with the game drive and explore the Northern Section of the Addo Elephant National Park. We will leave the park at 16h00 and return to the Port of Port Elizabeth. Refreshments will be served throughout the drive.
